Keeping goats and sheep and how to use their produce....

Including: Home dairying, soap making and novel uses for wool...

Day one: introduction to breeds of sheep and goat, visit to the sheep, handling and foot trimmng, medications and health issues, lambing and kidding, different ways of keeping goats, milking by hand and machine. Opportunity to have a go at milking.

Day two: Home dairy...yoghurt, soft and pressed cheese, eqiuipment, what to do with excess milk, soap making, etc.

All produce will be shared between partcipants and there will be handouts and oppotunities to ask many questions.

Cost: £130 per person to include camping facilities which include outdoor kitchen, firepit, compost toilet and hot shower.
£150 per person for those wanting to stay in the shepherds single and one double available.

Evening.....there are local pubs within cycling or walking distance, plus other wonderful places to eat in the vicinity. are most welcome to bbq over the fire pit. 

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available all day!
