We provide a range of sheep and wool courses and days to meet your needs. We promise to provide the highest quality course and do everything with a smile and to make sure you have a high level of satisfaction.
Sheep keeping for beginners April 6th 2024 near Bodmin Cornwall 10am-4pm £50 per person.
Sheep keeping for beginners May 18th near Settle Yorkshire 10am-4pm £50 per person.
This course will be suitable for anyone who has just become the owner of some sheep, those who are about to become sheep owners and those contemplating the idea.
it will cover…..
breeds of sheep, terminology, anatomy, the digestive system, reproductive cycle, care of ewes and lambs, lambing, care and needs of rams, nutritional requirements and feeding, grassland management, housing, handling, wool, diseases, medications, vaccinations, legal requirements, life expectancy and end of life etc….and anything else you wish to ask!
please note these courses will not be covering raising sheep for meat as that is another topic.
this can be covered privately.
Cost £50 per person including refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch.
